A Special Christmas For Mama

This silver pitcher was precious to our Mama. It was a cherished wedding gift she and Daddy received so many years ago. It is filled with roses, her favorite flowers, and is on the buffet with other silver pieces I inherited from her. She loved pretty, shiny things.

She was a gentle, kind, sweet soul, but there are two legacies she left to her four children. One is the immense love she had for each of us and our families, and the other was her love of the Lord.

We will miss her today, but we will celebrate her life and see the love she had for us reflected in the face of every child and grandchild. Today she is a part of the heavenly choir, celebrating her first Christmas where the streets are paved in silver and gold. She will love it.

Merry Christmas, Mama.
