Doritos-Done!

Warning!
Wild Fabric Ahead!

Here's the front of Doritos:

And here's the back, hanging from the arm of a Random Teenager:

A little detail shot:

And you know I had to take this shot, didn't cha?

The orange is very orange. I used orange buttons on the black triangles and black buttons on the orange triangles.

From cutting out to finish--4 hours. Big smile.

And now I'm working on a new design that I've named Pivot. Yes, it's a Southern thing....

Very different and fun! The colors together are amazing. And it's such a sharp dress! Dangerous, almost! The triangles hang down like icicles, perfect! I can't wait to see The Princess in this one!

I love how the circles in the bodice fabric mimic the buttons on the lower part of the dress. And the way the two fabrics of the triangle border play with one another.

Amazing! Her parents will have to throw a special occasion for the something to wear!

I wish the twins and their Mommy luck hanging on for a few more weeks...

Ok, it's CD the lurker again....

You're just amazing..... WOW! I love the choice of fabrics. It must be because you quilt. *sigh* It's just beautiful. The only thing I'd say is that when I saw it spread out, I though it would also be nice if the black was centered on the front and back. But it's still pretty neat.

This dress is delicious! Have you thought about submitting this to one of the sewing magazines, like Sew Beautiful or Creative Needle?

Thanks, Shannon. As far as submitting it, it has crossed my mind, but I don't know how to do it or what they pay for designs. Do you have any info?
